ASP.net AJAX framework comparison chart

A confession: I’m still a virgin.

It’s a little frustrating, though I’ve taken pride in keeping myself pure.

I know, I know, EVERYONE is doing it. Some are even getting paid to do it. And some are doing it in the dirtiest and nastiest of ways.

Alas, I’m only human and I cave into peer pressure given enough time.

So, it’s time. I’m about to take that huge step in every web developers life and make my first AJAX site.

I’m also going to attempt to kill two birds with one stone and not only go head-on into AJAX but make the jump to ASP.net 2.0.

The first step is for me to pick an AJAX framework to go with. Those in PHP land have lots of great options and, as always, .netters are left with fewer choices. But there are a few with Ajax.net and MS’s own Atlas being the most heard of.

Not looking forward to long analysis of each, I began googling only to discover that Daniel Zeiss has done all the legwork for me already with an exhaustive comparison of all the ASP.net AJAX frameworks options out there. Thanks, Daniel!
