The Walker Art Center and AIGA is pairing up again to have their March graphic design lecture series. Insights usually host no surprises for me these days. You’ll have a mix of academia, hip, highly theoretical, and your dull lecturers. Normally I find my self saying, OK, ya, nice work. But it ends up feeling […]

AIGA Minnesota’s New Clothes

The Emperor has no Clothes as they say. AIGA Minnesota has a new site up. It is refreshing to see them move to a site more open for public feedback, and open in it’s content. Feeling more weighty than before, and less “fluffy”.
It’s caused a bit of stir in the anouncement, and as usual some […]

Negativeland In Minneapolis

Minnesota Stories has a great post including video featuring Negitiveland. They are currently having a exhibition at Creative Electric Studios in Nordeast. Take moment to check it out. See some of the work that has had Negativeland in courts defending themselves against the likes of U2, who should understand the value of social contribution.

Viral Marketing, Dead or Alive?

With the increase in popularity of YouTube, and google video, is viral dead? Was it ever alive? I’ve met a ton of design “gurus” that flaunt the benefits of viral marketing.

Running across this interview with Jeff Zucker, pres. of NBC, really says something. Some monster media companies are starting to see the light.

It is part of our overall digital strategy, something Bob Wright had laid out for us for more than a year now, which is to […]

…wait a second. No, you just eliminated one of the only advantages flash had.
Why publish in flash if you are not going to support any other browser?

The New Open Walker

I have yet to take the time to survey all that is new at the walker; however, while attending the recent Insight Series I was pleased to find a more “open” approach to their lectures.
This may have existed before, but you can find lectures webcast at channel.walker.org.

Something New in the Air

With spring, Winteractive has seen our snowman melt, leaving MNteractive.com very unseasonable. With a little bit of hard work, and a bit of perspiration we have a new identity!

Now you may ask yourselves…
How did they achieve this? What was their thought behind it all? Think Minnesota. Think Dialog. Think Community.
