Finally…

A password storage application for the palm that has both a PC and a Mac desktop companion:

Plus, it has a decent interface and is only $20.

Speaking of Linux…

One of the most extensive lists of ‘alternative’ destkop OSes I’ve seen. It includes several OSes I never even knew existed: Power OS (an Amiga-like OS), WinMac an attempt to port OSX to Wintel, ReactOS a WinNT software-compatible OS, and RiscOS an OS build upon a ROM chip.

Snapstream - Tivo to Go

An energizing idea on a gloomy midwestern fridaySnapstream turns PocketPCs into portable Tivos. The idea of having my own personal tv network available to me on the train, in the car, or waiting waiting waiting almost makes me want to buy an iPaq.

I’ve lost my brain…I mean palm..I mean my wife

Not that I’m surprised (I’m worthless without mine), but Japan’s Hokkaido University is reporting that 1 in 10 people rely on Palm Pilots so heavily that without them, they have severe memory loss.
Not that this is completely without precedent. Other studies have determined that married couples ’store’ information for each other. That’s why they [...]

Plus all my favorite sites are already hooked up

AvantGo Look Out

Pendragon Software the makers of form and database software for the Palm also have an offline web browser for Palm. It feels faster than AvantGo, the pages seem easier to read, and it takes less space on my Palm. My syncs are faster because downloading is independent of synchronization. The biggest downside (and [...]

Out of Sync

So I’m getting grumpier and grumpier with Spyonit and AvantGo as the days go by.
Spyonit’s auction watch doesn’t check often enough to be valuable. (Receiving the runner-up-bid on auctions that closed 6 hours ago is funny…once) And I’m getting a little peeved of being notified everytime a banner ad changes.
AvantGo’s lack of channel level [...]
