FanChatter Photos: From Couch QBs to JumboTron
I took a look a FanChatter.com a while back and was intrigued with what I saw. It feels like a niche, affinity-focused, social network platform (versus a general one like FaceBook, etc) for building even nicher communities. Sure, it supports NFL, NHL, NBA, etc, but I think the smacktalk sent back and forth about rollergirls, kickball, or bocci ball is far more interesting.

Might have to sign up for the back-yard bocci ball talk…
That said, I’m still not sure what this site is? Is it just a glorified sports forum?
To answer your question Darrel, FanChatter is the first fully MOBILE sports forum. This means you can chatter via SMS and MMS as well as via email and the old fashioned way on the web.
Because sports (incl. backyard bocci ball) inherently involve events, now you can chatter live FROM the events, or receive mobile chatter updates from friends when something big is happening that you weren’t otherwise aware of–anywhere, anytime. We’re hoping that this, along with our new mobile photo sharing tool, will be a big hit among sports fans.
Please give the site and its mobile tools a try when you have a chance and let me know what you think. Thanks much. -Marty
