FlySketch, the Interface Critic’s New Best Friend
I’m a big fan of Wikis. Their quick-and-now quality is real appealing. Some people think in outline, I think in WordsJammedTogether. A while back, I discovered Flying Meat’s desktop Wiki, VooDooPad. VooDooPad has replaced my years old Excel project list and is slowly replacing Stickies as my ‘gotta write this down somewhere’ application.
37Signals introduced me to FlySketch, Flying Meat’s newest app.
Since I picked up a Wacom tablet last fall, I’ve been on a quest for the perfect quick sketching tool, something with the flexibility of a paper napkin. After playing with FlySketch for a couple hours, I think the search is over.

Best of all, FlySketch has the notion of ‘workflow’. So after annotating the hell out of your company’s website, you can quickly email it to your boss in one click. Sweet. Thanks Flying Meat.

I recently got an email at work asking “Did you make those edits I sent to you on the web site”. I replied “uh…what edits…I don’t appear to have an email from you.”
“I sent it via inter-office mail.”
Ugh…sure enough, buried under a pile of mail was a print our of the web page with a few lines of text crossed out.
So, I can certainly see a use for this. I can see it being great in group meetings. Perhaps the killer app for notepad laptops?
