GetGoMN.org – MN’s Entrepreneurial MySpace

Scott Litman, Dan Mallin Tom Kieffer along with the UofM, St. Thomas, the James J. Hill Library and slew of other people – including Gov. Palwenty – unveiled GetGoMN.org. (Graeme Thickins did the naming).
I’ve poked around with it a little and my first impression: MySpace + LinkedIn + PeopleAggregator, restricted to MN.
I’m in Graeme’s and David Newberger’s networks…not sure what to do next.
What do you think?

Hey, Garrick! Hang in there — there’ll be lots to do in GetGo, esp for entrepreneurs looking to network with investors, or find reliable service providers that can help them do their thing. (Okay, like naming — but I digress.)
The best thing about GetGo, I’ve come to learn, is this: it enables networks to connect with networks, which is pretty powerful stuff. So, the best is yet to come. And keep in mind, it’s still taking baby steps…only v1.0, just out of beta. It will get lots better.
I’m really getting pumped about it, and esp about helping the MinneDemo/BarCamp folks expand their networks, etc. There are so many great people and ideas here in Minnesota, so many possibilities to build great new tech companies.
Okay, if you haven’t guessed already: I not only named this beast, I was tapped to be Chief Evangelist for GetGoMN, too!
So, I hope everyone will call on me with any questions, or let me know their thoughts…
Go MN tech!
Graeme
If only we were 10 miles further East. *sigh*
