I canceled my account but i can still see myself on search and on ppls friends list, wtf iwant to be completely erased from the site.

OKAY!!!!! I got it!!! I had blocked the myspace e-mails LONG AGO!! so just go into accounts where it shows your e-mails.. add a new email.. (even if you go set one up just to cancel your myspace) add the new one and you should get the confirmations right away!! GOOD LUCK (OH I’d delete all info just incase it keeps some.. I seen posted above that they couldnt log in but coudl still find themselves!)

I too am trying to delete my myspace!! I hate this.. I’m just going to delete EVERYTHING.. all pics info and put bogus info if I have too.. then delete all my friends.. mark me as private as I can get.. but still keep trying.. if nothing else.. atleast my info wont be out there anymore.

I am so irritated by the guy that commented that it was so simple to cancel his myspace and why are so many people having so much trouble with it? Um like we are the issue. I have tried 15 plus times to cancel my myspace account. I never get the confirmation email. I have been waiting 6 weeks for this stupid confirmation email. They are purposely making it impossible to cancel your account and I for one am very angry. I never would have created an account if I had known I would never be able to delete it. And to that guy that thinks we are all idiots for not being able to cancel….please tell me what you did that I did not do cause I am not stupid and followed the cancelation procedure and IT DOES NOT WORK!

I figured this out finally! If you are not receiving the follow up e-mail, check the block senders list in your e-mail account. If you have blocked noreply@myspace.com before, you will not receive the verification e-mail. Unblock the address.

Hi! I had the same problem and reading some techniques I tried everything and finally this that I read worked:
the email I had registered was hotmail ! I read somewhere that myspace doesn’t send cancellations instructions to msn or hotmail. I tried to change my email and it didn’t let me so… I changed the country and language and I got to change my email account to yahoo, then, I sent the e mail cancellation again and in less than a minute, I got it in my yahoo account after trying for several weeks ! so if you registered a hotmail account, please change it ! and try with a different email !

yea, i tried to cancel as well. i deleted an email address that i used when i opened my space account before i cancelled myspace. bad move on my part! they told me that in order to cancel myspace i would need to confirm it at that address. but i explained that i no longer had access to that account. they told me that in order to cancel it i would need to create a “salute” by taking a pic of myself holding a piece of paper that has my friend id on it. then they told me with the other hand (get ready for the crazy) to hold 3 fingers in the air. well i told them that was stupid and i wasn’t going to do it nor was i going to do it and have them deny cancellation again and then have them tell me this time to stand on one leg, with one eye closed and 3 centimeters to the left kind of bullshit. So, they told me to put “remove profile” in the about me section of my profile and put a picture of me on the profile so they could identify me. idiots. i did that and then they told me that they could not accept my “salute” So, yea someone above said it was so that they don’t lose their advertising with all the member pages and so they can keep t heir high number of profiles.

I have been trying to cancel my myspace for 6 months. I have spent all today and yesterday trying to get it fixed, but keep getting the same 3 emails sent to me by them. Their customer service is appalling. I can’t log in to change the country as my profile has been ‘deleted’ from their system (still appears when searched for) and it won’t accept my password.

WHAT CAN I DO???? Any advice anyone?
