Space150 is looking for an Information Architect to help our teams and clients visualize the logic of information spaces.
Information Architect will be responsible for documenting the structure of a product under the guidance and direction of an Associate Creative Director and Information Designer.
Responsibilities:
• Diagram site architectures and user interfaces using site maps and wireframes
• Diagram user flow and data flow
• Document display fields and business logic for content management templates
• Audit competitive sites, documenting best practices
• Employ space150 standards, style, and language in IA documents
• Work from given business requirements and creative concepts to create IA documentation
• Create high-level prototypes as necessary
Qualifications:
• 1+ years experience in interactive design, with a strong understanding of information architecture and its importance in the design process
• A degree in a related field, such as interactive media design, technical communications, human-computer interaction, library science, or graphic design
• Web design experience including: HTML, Flash, cross-browser compatibility, and new technologies
• Experience with the following: MS Office, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop, OmniGraffle or other related software programs
• 1+ years experience developing websites and/or software applications
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Experience observing user behavior and translating user research into design
• Experience with collaborative thinking and decision-making, preferably with agile or related development methodology
Years of Experience: 1-3 years
Level of Education: 4 year degree
Portfolio must show applied knowledge of usability, user-centered design, and IA documents including site maps, user flows, and wireframes. It should express strong capacity for both logical and creative thinking.
