Microsoft Using Comics to Promote Office 2007

Everything you’d expect in a comic is there; wizards, Buffy references, overall-wearing Rhinoceroses, cubicles, pie charts.

I quite like how subtle the ‘Download trial’ link…and all the non-navigational links are.

The credit for the wit here really goes not to Microsoft, but to the excellent Vera Brosgol. She’s one of my favorite cartoonists. The two animations on her site are both hilariously twisted. Also check out her work in the superb Flight anthologies.

Wow, just when I thought Microsoft couldn’t appear any more pathetic. Surpised Vista didn’t cure poverty or end world hunger. Why manage effectively when you can wave a magic capitalist wand around.
