[MIMA] Salon: Businesses and Online Communities
“Here’s the dream. The dream is that there’s this group of your most loyal customer, all hanging out online, talking about how great you are and how to get the most out of your product. And then? Then new people come. They read. They listen. And they buy.
Welcome to the business application for online communities. What are they? Who uses them? How does social networking affect your business, from sales to marketing to HR?
At our September salon, Nina Hale will lead a discussion on current trends, new communities, failed and failing communities. We’ll debate how online strategists can (or can’t) create and guide a community which by its very definition has to be maintained by the users. And we’ll try to come away feeling a bit more able to advise our companies on how to respond to this phenomenon.”
