Our Political Priorities
It’s been quiet around here lately…what to do?…what to do?…I know! A political post! That always works. ;o)
Cracking open the paper today I see that our two favorite political parties are busy at work trying to change our state’s constitution. Let’s see what they are up to…
The democrats are looking at adding an amendment to the MN constitution “affirming that every resident of Minnesota has the right to affordable health care.”
Meanwhile, Pawlenty and his posse of republicans apparently just still hate the gays.
Hmm…better health care vs. hating the gays?…I wonder which amendment proposal will draw more voters to the polls?…
*sigh*

That will (unfortunately) be close. We that is if the health care amendment makes it out of committee which it likely won’t - unlike the hate amendment.
Democrats need to rethink their marketing. They need to hire a good copyeditor.
They shouldn’t be proposing ‘better healthcare for all MN ammendment’ but rather should be proposing ‘defense of homeland values/anti-disease amendment’ or some sorts. They need to put a lot more effort into fear mongering. That seems to be the only way to convince the masses these days.
