Politickle

So, this is it. Today is the day we vote for our next president and a whole bunch of other people that we decide we want to lead us. This is perhaps one of the biggest elections in our history. What we decide today will effect us for not only the next four years but for the rest of our lives.

Never in our history has an election meant as much as this one. What with the war in Iraq, education for our youth, taxes, abortion, stem cell research and a countless number of other important issues.

Wait a minute. How is this election different than every other election in our history? Don’t we face these, and similar concerns, every single time we vote? How in the hell is this election so different? I don’t know about you but I am entirely sick of people cramming down our throats how important this election is. Yeah, right. This one election is so much different than any other. Puhlease!

The only difference between this election and every other is the people running. That is it. All the major, and minor, decisions that impact all of our lives are once again up for debate. Whether you decide it is a woman’s right to choose what is right for her own body, or not; whether you decide to pay more taxes, or not; whether you decide stem cell research is the right thing to do, or not. Well, those are your decisions to make and this is your time to make your voice heard.

If you don’t vote, don’t bitch about the turnout. You lost that right when you decided to be a lazy, good-for-nothing jerk-off of a United States citizen. Even though we live in a republic, not a democracy as we have been told, we do make the decision who we choose to lead us; to make the best decisions for us. And if you choose to do nothing then you are not helping the causes important to you and you will spend the next four years bitching about how the wrong person is leading all of us. And sure, even if you do vote there is a chance your candidates might not win, but at least you tried, earning you your right to complain. But I swear to dog, if I hear you bitch and I know you did not vote, I will kick your butt!

Now, stop reading and GO VOTE!
