Reason #592 to hate Qwest
Dexonline is Qwest’s online yellow pages. They own it. Qwest is the phone company. They are the one that manage the phone numbers for everyone.
So, Qwest, tell me why you can’t have your web site actually reflect the current status of everyone’s phone number? Why do I have to call a number listed on YOUR company site to then have to listen to a recording saying the number has changed? Why do I have to call a number listed on YOUR company site only to find out it the wrong number and some poor soul has been getting calls for months because you can’t update your web site with your own data?

I HATE Qwest too, but to be fair, they sold off their YP division (Dex) to a private group of investors a couple years ago. They don’t own or have anything to do with Dex anymore. Dex licenses the right to be the “official” YP’s of Qwest, but that’s about it.
too bad they can’t forget to update my address on all their junk mailers. i’d love to have that stuff go to my old address.

To be fair? How damn hard is it to send an XML feed over to them nightly to update the data? ;o)
You’d think they’d want a site with their logo on it to be reputable.

Oh so totally true
Nothing like a good rant about the inability of companies to keep track of their own data, particularly when they sell data services. In addition to Qwest not being about to keep track of numbers on their site, so many others fail as well. Of course…
