Screen capture the ENTIRE web page.
It’s often useful to be able to grab a screen shot of an entire web page–including the portion of the page that is ‘below the fold’ for presentations/portfolios, etc. On OSX, there’s a great free utility designed just for this with Safari: Paparazzi. Windows users? Well, you have about 20 different options, all of varying usability, all costing around $20.
Which was a bit of a bummer because I needed just that at work the other day. Then, I stumpled upon this great firefox extension: Pearl Crescent’s Page Saver. It’s a Firefox 1.5 extension that will capture the entirety of your web page and save it as a PNG file for you. Works in both OSX and Windows with Linux supporting coming soon. One tip: it defaults to a 25% capture, but you can easily change that in the preferences file.
