[Job] Westlaw Seeking Freelance Graphic Designer

We’re a corporate UX team seeking a freelance graphic designer to contribute to web-based GUI projects on an hourly basis between now and the end of the year. We have a great in-house designer but we need some staff augmentation to finish out our projects for the year. This design work will be for web site prototypes for usability research for Thomson West’s premiere legal research product: Westlaw (http://westlaw.com).

Requirements

  • Strong GUI design and problem solving skills
  • Experience applying formal design methodologies such as creating a high fidelity design from paper prototypes or wireframes
  • Fluency in Photoshop
  • Above-average familiarity with web standards (XHTML, CSS, WCAG) and the impact they have on design
  • Experience designing highly transactional sites
  • Ability to meet with us periodically at our offices in Eagan, MN
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
