StarTribune.com Wants a Lead Designer
I got an email from Matt Thompson, deputy editor at StarTribune.com:
“I’m overseeing the creation of a website for StarTribune Interactive, and we’re currently looking for a lead designer. You’ve been mentioned by a lot of folks I’ve met as someone who might be able to get our job posting in front of the right people locally. I’m writing to ask if you might forward this ad to anyone you think might be interested in the position: http://www.startribunecompany.com/j650“.
“The site we’re hiring for will feature a lot of information, and I’m hoping for someone with experience and fresh ideas for tackling info-rich environments. The best applicants will have an up-to-date understanding of the powers of JavaScript and CSS, as well as thorough knowledge of Web standards. And of course, they have to be able to make it all look good. Enough familiarity with Flash to handle rich media is also necessary.”
Looks like it’s a union gig too - not many of those around for designers. Kinda cool.

Maybe get some more visibility at the upamn.org job listing too?
I check that site quite frequently myself.
err.. not that it wouldn’t here, but well, they have an actual “Job Posting” section :)- better visibility among job seekers.
What’s wrong with the MNteractive job posting section? :p
Nothing- except that I’d have to search through all your tags to realize that you HAD a job posting section
(I didn’t realize)
