Technology Creates New Markets

Two services have recently arrived in town, both are pushing my favorite adage – “always charge for convenience” – in interesting directions:

  1. LoadPod- “Just got yourself a new iPod or iPod mini, but dreading the thought of ripping your massive collection of CD’s, one by one, and loading them into your iPod?”

    2. Yes, that’s right. LoadPod takes your entire CD collection and rips it on your fresh iPod for $1.50 a CD.

  2. AuctionDrop: sells your stuff on eBay for you – just drop it off at a UPS Store. Their fees start at $20/item + eBay’s commissions.
