There are 167 subscriptions in my NewsReader. They all publish on different frequencies, so on any given day, I skim probably 130 headlines. Once and a while, a TV show will hook one of the bloggers on my list and they’ll post about each episode. For example, Pratical Nomad posts about each episode of CBS’ Amazing Race. With the fall season premieres kicking off, I’m seeing more headlines about TV shows.

I didn’t think anything of it as I was pulled into Success and Motivation - The Benefactor Tests over at Blog Maverick. In Mark Cuban’s list of ‘Factors to Success’, my favorites are:

What really struck me though, was his sign-off…

They are the foundation for many of the tests and challenges , and the spirit of what I tried to do in The Benefactor.

That’s right, the blogger in question is the host of his own reality tv show. Brilliant - a prime example of how a weblog can both humanize and promote a business without being a liability.
