Yeah, Watt’s the man. And he’s still kicking much ass to this day. I picked up Contemplating the Engine Room back in ’98, and was hooked. Went back to the old Minutemen and fIREHOSE stuff and got caught up with it (probably heard it on a skate video or two back in my mid-80′s thrasher days). After 30 years, his new stuff is just as relevant as anything (Banyan is a great band, and Watt’s latest solo album is a trip).

Anybody been lucky enough to catch him at The Entry? When the hellride rolls through the midwest, he always plays in Madison. I’ve got to get down there to see him sometime…
