The Quest for a Decent Lunch and Wi-Fi in Minneapolis
Julio reiterates the bane of Minnesota’s unwired professionals: places with a decent lunch don’t offer wireless internet access. I was on the same quest last week when my home-office DSL died.
Coffee shops have figured it out, but I know of two places (er, three, thanks Julio) with lunch and wifi here in Minneapolis.
Biking through St. Anthony Main, wondering if I had to go all the way to Rock Bottom Brewery for something decent, I quick cut left and landed at the Wilde Roast Cafe. Both their lunch and breakfast options are pretty good, but really – I’m there for access.

Cliquot Club, Birchwood Cafe (down the block from Cliquot). And Cupcake (3338 University Ave. S.E, near 280), besides having maybe the best danish in the Twin Cities, also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with its Wi-Fi.
We need to ressuract the WiFi Wiki.
Can’t speak for Minneapolis, but in St. Paul, the History Museum has a spacious cafeteria with surprisngly good food (lots of local grown options) and free WiFi.
I second the Birchwood.
