Time to get my MacBook Pro OSX XP All-in-Wonder
Well, as everyone has probably heard by now, Apple is officially supporting dual booting your MacTel box into any OS you want. Be it OSX, Linux, or XP. Cool. REALLY cool, actually. (or even ‘Holy Shit’ cool, if you are DaringFireball). But still not my ideal. I really want Windows virtualization. I want to have Visual Studio running along side BBEdit. Cut and paste between them. Maybe someday.
Or, well, maybe today! Parallels has just begun beta testing their virtualization software for OSX. This is great news! No more having to sit at a desk with two keyboards and two monitors. No more deciding to upgrade the Mac Dreamweaver vs. the Windows copy of Dreamweaver. I’ll be ordering my new Windows/Mac/Linux computer this weekend!

All I can say is “Tre Chic”. Hopefully this will put an end to all the bickering over PC vs. Mac.
Yeah, I saw a video of Parallels running XP. It’s definitely “holy crap” fast. Here’s the link:

I’m still going to wait for the second version of the MBP to be released, though. Like Mark, I like to see the kinks worked out of things before I jump on them.
This will *seriously* test my patience though, as the cool factor is pretty much off the scale.
Ack. Sorry, I didn’t realize MNteractive was setup for graphical smilies. I have a *serious* distaste for those… they are *so* undignified.
