Work Club Minneapolis
The Gate-3 WorkClub in Emeryville, CA officially opens this week.
It’s a fantastic idea. Think community artists studio or mini-incubator for independent, small, and non-profit businesses with all the technological amenities necessary to run a business (conference rooms, video conference, wi-fi, coffee). Everyone learns from each other.
The MNteractive community needs a place like Gate-3. A common place where all the independent contractors could meet up, stay connected to each other and find new projects. The numerous wi-fi covered coffe houses around are nice (WiFiWiki). But they’re primary purpose is caffeine delivery or chotcke delivery, not quiet working place.
I’ve found Marysburg Books the most reliable place to make phone calls.
Either way, I’d like to see a Work Club here.
