It appears that Yahoo has axed their entire design innovation team (aka ‘yHaus’?). One assumes this is related to their battle to fend of Microsoft, but I have to wonder how this will help. Seems that if you’re up against Microsoft and Google, design innovation is perhaps your key asset.

What’s even sadder is that I really had no idea what this group was about. Perhaps before axing them, they should have promoted them a bit more. ;o)

Doug Fritz apparently worked for this group and highlights some of the projects on his web site. Infosthetics also has more on the subject and has archived some materials.
