Zzt. Zzzzzzt. Zzt. Zizzit. Zzzt. Beep-boop.

Ah…hot and humid. Summer in MN. Anyone with power windows in their car these days takes the ‘auto-down’ feature for granted. Driving up to the drive through? Just hit the button and listen to the zzzzzzzzt as your window lowers automatically while you fumble for quarters in the console to get that McBurger er…McSalad that you’ve been craving.

It’s a great feature. But why do I then have to sit there for 3 minutes making subtle adjustments to all four of my windows to get that minute 1/4″ opening on each of my windows to vent the car while it sits in the hot parking lot? Zzzt. Oops. Too much. Zzt. Damn. Not enough. Zizzit…there. Good. Next window…

Would it be that hard for auto designers to add a second setting to the power windows? Perhaps a MN Summer setting?
